Jessica Commodore
Jessica is the Production Coordinator homeowners work with from the day they sign until the last quality-control call. She keeps roofing, siding, gutter, window, and door projects on schedule, coordinates every material delivery, and follows up personally after every install. Two-time JDH Employee of the Year (2024, 2025).
Six Years of Coordinating Southern Maryland Roofs.
Jessica was raised in Southern Maryland and lives in Lusby with her husband and their three daughters. She has spent the last six years helping homeowners through the roofing and exterior remodeling process across Calvert County, St. Mary's County, and the rest of Southern Maryland. Three of those years have been on the JDH team as the person who keeps every project moving.
Jessica came to JDH after her previous roofing company closed its doors. Her old employer knew what she was worth and personally recommended her to JDH; she was hired quickly and has been coordinating projects here ever since. What kept her at JDH, in her own words, was the family atmosphere, the friendships she built with coworkers, and getting to see how happy homeowners are when their homes are finally finished.
Before roofing, Jessica spent nearly two decades in customer service, and it shows in how she works. She treats every homeowner the way she would want to be treated on the other end of the phone: informed, respected, and never left wondering what happens next.
A Roof Replacement in Two Days to Save a Homeowner's Insurance.
A recently widowed homeowner had taken over responsibility for his late mother's house. Shortly after, his insurance company told him he had a narrow window to replace the aging roof or lose his coverage entirely. He called Jessica.
"We know that you want your project to go smoothly, and if you have any questions about anything during the project, please don't hesitate to ask us. We provide good quality work and we communicate with you along the way. We treat our customers like family." Jessica Commodore, Production Coordinator
Jessica put in a rush order for materials, coordinated same-week delivery, and worked with the crew to get the full roof replaced within two days of his call. Photo documentation from the completed install went straight to the insurance carrier. He kept his policy. No lapse, no scramble, no extra premium.
That project is the one Jessica points to when asked what she is proudest of. Every project matters, but a smooth, timely response during a stressful moment is what the job is really about.
Four Things Every Homeowner Gets, Every Project.
Coordinating a roofing or exterior project is a lot of moving pieces: the homeowner, the crew, the subcontractors, the suppliers, the project manager, quality control. Jessica's job is to make sure none of that lands on the homeowner. Here is what that looks like in practice.
Every project lives in JobNimbus. Materials, crew assignments, delivery windows, and install dates are all tracked in one system so nothing gets lost in a call log or an email thread.
Jessica works directly with suppliers to time deliveries so the crew has exactly what they need on install day. No sitting shingles on the driveway for a week, no crew arriving to a missing color match.
Homeowners hear from Jessica at every stage: scheduled, ordered, delivered, installed, complete. If something needs to shift, they know before the crew shows up, not after.
After the crew leaves, Jessica calls. She confirms the homeowner is satisfied, walks through anything they want a second look at, and closes the loop before the file is marked complete.
Named by JDH. Recognized by Homeowners.
Awards inside the company and certification outside it. Both matter, and both point at the same thing: Jessica has spent two decades making customer service the entire job, not a side effect of it.
JDH's Employee of the Year is awarded once a year across the entire company. Jessica has won it two years in a row, in 2024 and again in 2025. The award recognizes staff whose day-to-day work most directly protects the homeowner experience.
About the JDH Team →Jessica is Customer Service Certified with two decades of professional customer service work behind her. It is the foundation of how she coordinates every project: informed homeowners, clear expectations, and no surprises.
Our Process →A Family, a Yorkie, and the Solomons Island Boardwalk.
Jessica was raised in Southern Maryland and lives in Lusby with her husband, their three daughters, and a Yorkshire Terrier. She is active with her family church, spends most weekends at her daughters' sports events, and looks for excuses to take a long walk on the Solomons Island boardwalk when she wants to clear her head.
Her coworkers tease her for being "OCD" because there is always a surface she is cleaning or a bin she is organizing. The homeowners on her projects benefit from the exact same instinct. If it should be tracked, she is tracking it.
Jessica Works Inside a Team of Named Specialists.
Every JDH project has a named coordinator, a named inspector, and a named installer. Meet the rest of the team, or head straight to Jim, the owner.
