Home Improvement Financing Across Maryland & Northern Virginia
One Soft-Pull Application Covers Every Project on Your Home
Most contractors send you to one lender for one trade. JDH carries six vetted lenders and bundles every exterior trade into a single approval, so a new roof, siding, and windows can ride on the same loan instead of three separate ones.
Soft Pull, No Credit Impact
Pre-qualify in 2 minutes. The soft pull does not touch your FICO score, and you keep the decision until you sign.
Bundle Multiple Trades
Combine a roof with siding, gutters, or windows on one application. One approval, one monthly payment, one timeline.
12 Months No Interest, No Payments
The headline plan: a full year deferred. If the principal is paid down inside the promo window, you pay zero interest.
Match to the Right Lender
Six vetted lenders, different programs for prime, near-prime, and 580+ credit. We find the qualified offer that fits your file.
No Money Down. No Pre-Pay Penalty.
Zero down to start. Pay early and you only pay for time used. No balloon, no surprise fee at the back end.

Six Vetted Lenders. One Application.
Different lenders specialize in different parts of the credit spectrum. We carry six so we can match a qualified offer to nearly every credit profile and project size. Lender comparison details, minimum credit scores, max amounts, and promo plans live on each trade financing page.
For lender-by-lender APR ranges, term lengths, minimum FICO scores, and promo period details, visit the financing page for your trade: roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, or insulation.
Estimate Your Monthly Payment On Any Project Size
Adjust the project total and term length to see an estimated monthly payment. Promotional plans (12 months no interest, no payments) will lower this further during the promo window. Actual offers are based on your soft pull.
Estimate only. Example 9.99% APR is illustrative and not a quote. Actual APR depends on your credit profile, lender selected, term length, and any promotional plan. Promo plans (12 months no interest, no payments) defer interest if the principal is paid in full inside the promo window. See each trade page for lender-specific terms.

Home Improvement Financing FAQ
Can I finance more than one trade on the same loan? +
Yes. One soft-pull application covers any combination of trades JDH installs: roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, and insulation. Most homeowners who finance with JDH bundle two or three trades, like a new roof plus gutters, or siding plus windows. Single loan, single monthly payment, single timeline, and the bundled amount usually lands a better promo plan than financing each project separately.
Does JDH offer free financing or grants? +
JDH does not issue grants. Maryland has a state program called Maryland DHCD that offers limited grants and low-interest loans for critical home repairs to income-eligible homeowners, and several Maryland counties run their own rehab loan programs. Those are public programs you apply for directly, and they are separate from JDH financing. The closest thing JDH offers to free financing is the 12 months no interest, no payments promo plan: if you pay the principal down inside that promo window, the interest is waived.
What credit score do I need to qualify? +
JDH carries six lenders so we can cover most credit profiles. The prime tier (FICO 660+) sees the lowest APRs and the longest promo plans. The near-prime tier (620 to 660) still gets approved on most projects with slightly higher rates. The subprime tier (580 to 620) is served by Foundation Finance, which is built for that range. Over 90% of applicants approve on the first soft pull. The only way to know your exact qualified offer is to run the soft pull, which does not affect your credit.
Can I phase a project after the loan is approved? +
Yes, common scenarios JDH financing handles: roof now, siding next spring, windows the following year. The approval covers the bundled total, the lender funds draws as the work is completed, and the monthly payment is sized to the total amount. If the homeowner wants to add a project that was not in the original scope, that typically requires a new soft pull and either an increased line or a second loan, depending on the lender.
Will the soft pull affect my credit score? +
No. The pre-qualification soft pull is a soft credit inquiry that does not touch your FICO score and is not visible to other lenders. A hard inquiry only happens later if you choose to formally accept an offer and sign the loan documents. You can shop the qualified offers, decide to fund the project in cash instead, or walk away entirely, and your credit score is unchanged.
How does the 12 months no interest, no payments plan actually work? +
The promo plan defers interest and payments for 12 months. If the full principal is paid down inside that 12-month window, the deferred interest is waived and the loan effectively cost zero in interest. If the principal is not paid in full inside the window, the deferred interest is added back at the standard APR, and the remaining balance amortizes over the remaining term. The clean way to use this plan is to divide the project total by 12 and pay that much each month voluntarily during the promo. Each trade page has the full explainer for that trade's promo math.
Is there a money-down requirement or pre-payment penalty? +
No on both. JDH financing programs are zero-down: the lender funds the full project amount, and you start paying after install (or after the promo window if you took the 12-months-no-payments plan). None of the six lenders we carry charge a pre-payment penalty. Pay the loan off in month three, month six, month twelve, you only pay for the time the principal was outstanding. This is standard for contractor-network home improvement loans and is different from some auto and mortgage loan structures.
Do you offer financing for storm-damage or insurance-claim projects? +
Yes. When an insurance claim covers part of a project (a partial roof, hail-damaged siding) and the homeowner wants to upgrade beyond what the carrier pays for, JDH financing covers the gap. Common pattern: the carrier funds the claim scope, the homeowner finances the upgrade scope (better shingle, full siding instead of patch, full window package instead of two replacements). See the storm damage insurance claims walkthrough for how the claim and financing line up.
Two Minutes to Pre-Qualify. Zero Credit Impact.
Run the soft pull, see your qualified offers, and decide from there. No commitment, no hard inquiry, no pressure. JDH has financed every type of exterior project across Maryland and Northern Virginia for over a decade.
