Foreman
Production LeadForemen run the job site. You read the contract before the truck rolls. Production InstallerCrew is where the work happens. You are on the roof tearing off a worn-out three-tab, snapping chalk lines for the new course, nailing off the field, flashing the chimney, and bagging the debris before the homeowner gets home. Phone SetterOur CSRs are the first voice a homeowner hears. You pick up the phone, you find out what they need, and you book the right Design Specialist for the right day. You also call back the homeowners who filled out a form last night, follow up with the ones who went quiet, and keep the calendar tight enough that nobody is double-booked and nobody falls through. What does the hiring process look like?
Phone screen first. If that goes well, a working interview that matches the role: a ride-along for Design Specialists, a half-day on a real job site for Foreman and Crew, a paired shift on the phones for CSR, and an in-office working session for Office and Admin. We move fast. From first call to offer is usually inside two weeks.
Do you hire subcontractors?
Yes. We hire both in-house crews and lead subcontractors who run their own teams. Subs need their own insurance, a registered business, and a willingness to install to JDH standards. We provide the work pipeline, the materials, and the quality bar. You provide the craftsmanship and the cleanup.
Where do you work, and where do I need to live?
We serve Maryland and Northern Virginia, headquartered in St Leonard, MD. Field roles travel across our service area: Calvert, St Marys, Charles, Anne Arundel, Prince Georges, and Northern Virginia. Office roles work from St Leonard. You do not need to live in St Leonard, but field crews need to be within commuting range of a job site each morning.
